Restart GW PO from RCONJ:

RCONJ>  gwpoa @poX.poa

Migrating GW Servers:

BACKUP Critical Files on \\GW1
Start RCONJ | GW1 | System Console   >> trustbar sys: -b –v (-b = backup; -v = verbose) …
(watch it run @ RCONJ | LOGGER Scr )   >> trustbar vol1: -b –v  (Wait for confirmation that the process ended!)
(RCONJ = Remote Console w. Java)     …>> dsrepair –rc vol1:\dsr_dib (backs up eDir database)
On MIG PC create  C:\Temp\GW1 …
…>> Copy  \\GW1\VOL1\trustees.xml >> Rename to vol.xml
…>> Copy  \\GW1\SYS\trustees.xml >> Rename to sys.xml
…>> Copy  \\GW1\VOL1\dsr_dib
…>> Copy  \\GW1\SYS\System\PO1.POA  (on GWPRI & GWSEC1-2 install also  …\DO.MTA  )
…>> Copy  \\GW1\SYS\Tivoly\TSM\CLIENT\BA\dsm.opt
…>> Copy  \\GW1\SYS\System\pretsm.ncf (loads OFM. Can be copied over from any other GW!!)
…>> Copy  \\GW1\SYS\System\posttsm.ncf  (OFM = Open File System = locks copy of GW database so it can be backed up)

Start Migration Wizard    Start | Programs | Novell Migration Wizard
(needs to be preinstalled on MIG PC. Download newest version from http://download.novell.com )

>> Create New Project >> Project Name (GW1) >> Source Server = GW1.SVC.DOMAIN …>> Login = .admin.domain
>> Destination Server = NWMIG1.MIG.MIGTREE >> Login = .admin.mig (Password = novell)
>> Backout …\SYS.MIG in right panel so it will NOT be migrated!! (R click on SYS.MIG >> Backout)
>> In left panel select to migrate & Drag&Drop  \\gw1\\vol1\PO1 &  \\gw1\\vol1\P01LIBS &  \\gwpri\vol1\DO ) (pass = novell)

>> COPY FILE SYSTEM    >> Always Copy >> Disable Login >> Don’t copy based on Dates …
…>> Exclusions (*.log) >> Don’t Del files on destination >> Don’t File Compare …
…>> Login = .admin.domain  >> Yes (to all warnings about file copy! Process copies new NLM to server) >> Yes >> Proceed
…>> YES to Backup & Migrate TRUSTEES >> Yes to Verify (Automatically rolls to Backup & Migrate FILEs) >> View Error LOG
…>> Done

>> EDIT CONFIG FILES    RCONJ | GW1 | System Console
>>Edit \\GW1\SYS\SYSTEM\autoexec.ncf (Make sure #TSM entry is present. Will be disabled because Tivoli is not yet installed. Add a line immediately on top and on the bottom #Tivoli to indicate what program TSM is associated with)

>> Begin NDS and eDIR  Migration    RCONJ | MSTR1 | System Console  >> dsrepair.nlm (to TimeSync) >> ESC (to unload dsrepair)
(Watch report from TimeSync Debug Scr)
…MigWiz  >> Auto >> Login = .admin.domain  >> Finish (verify from CMD Console >> ping GW1 –t)
RCONJ | NWMIG1 (because DNS records still point to NWMIG1. RCONJ will show as connected to GW1 as this is the actual name of the server has already been renamed!)
>> MigWiz automatically DOWNs the old server (verify from CMD Console >> ping GW1 –t)
>> MibWiz renames new server to GW1 and restarts it

iManager >> IE    >> https://nwmig1:8009  >> Login as .admin.domain …
>>  Configure TCP/IP >> Start TCP/IP Configuration >> TCP/IP to Interface Bind >> Select and change IP address of GW1 >> SAVE >> OK >> Reinitialize >> Restart (verify from CMD Console >> ping GW1 –t)
{If it won’t restart form iManager >> RCONJ | GW1 | System Console >> DOWN server
(DOWN = restarts to DOS prompt; RESET = restarts through POST) }
Restart MIG PC as well!! (Very Important! This flushes ARP cache)
RCONJ | GW1 | System Console  >> dsrepair –xk3 (to disconnect back-links to .MIGTREE and force it to create new back-links to .domain) >> Advanced >> F10 (Repair local database)  Yes >> Enter >> ESC to exit dsrepair !!! (or it won’t be able to run scheduled dsrepair next time!!) >> Yes
>> set dstrace = nodebug  (May have to reverse screens with >> buttons)
>> set dstrace = +blink (shows processes)
>> set dstrace = *b (starts a process)  Wait for “Finished reference check succeeded”
>> set dstrace = off (turns off dstrace)

>> Finish NDS and eDIR

RCONJ | MSTR1 | System Console  >> dsrepair.nlm (to TimeSync) >> ESC (to unload dsrepair)
(Watch report from TimeSync Debug Scr)
{If synchronization errors >> RCONJ | MSTR1 | System Console >> Advanced >> Server known DB
>> Find GW1 >> Repair selected net address
…MigWiz  >> Yes (to check eDIR health on MSTR1 >> Login = .admin.domain … >> Continue (to Sync vol object and restore Trustees)  >> View Error Log  >> Close MigWiz

RCONJ | GW1 | System Console

>> dsrepair (Rerun unattended Full Repair until No Errors!)
Install the server in the rack.

Install SOFTWARE TIVOLI    RCONJ | GW1 | System Console >> nwconfig >> Product options >> Install Product Not Listed >> F3 >> \\noc1\vol1:\tsm\tsm522 >> Select TSM (top choice only!) >> Enter
Copy C:\Temp\GW\dsm.opt back to Tivoli directory on server \\GW1\SYS\Tivoly\TSM\CLIENT\BA\dsm.opt

RCONJ | GW1 | System Console  >> tsm >> Enter >> Login = gw1 | Password = gw1
>>  dsmc
>>  q fi  (file system = quarries server for file space)
>>  q tsa >> Login = .backup.ad.domain   >> q (to exit)
>>  tsm (brings Tivoli screen to check if everything is normal)

Install SOFTWARE
GW Agent    Start | RUN | \\GWPRI\VOL1\SDD\GW6.5SP2\Agents\setup.exe >> Point to \\GW1\SYS\SYSTEM >> Add PO1 (DO on gwpri)  \\GW1\VOL1\PO1 (DON’T replace LDAPs and other files with newer version!!  >> Finish

RCONJ | GW1 | System Console   >> Edit \\GW1\SYS\SYSTEM\autoexec.ncf >> Del server ID
RCONJ | GW1 | System Console  >> Install OFM (from MIG PC, has to be preinstalled on PC first)
>>  \\GW1\SYS\SYSTEM\FPVARSET
>>  \\GW1\SYS\SYSTEM\GWVARSET
>>  \\GW1\SYS\SYSTEM\NWVARSET

RCONJ | GW1 | Netware6 Console  >> Check if everything looks OK
GW Mail >> Try logging into the your mail account to test the PO
RCONJ | GW1 | System Console  >> DOWN server (verify from CMD Console >> ping GW1 –t)
